Legal Personality of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a type of software which has unique feature to produce something aimed to produce by using its embodied “intelligence”. The ongoing debate regarding AI is not who will own AI rather who is eligible to own the product generated by AI. To response the query the jurists are trying various options and some of them are thinking to introduce a revolutionary paradigm for it. It is already established that the answer to who will own the product of AI cannot be decided in the light of the present jurisprudential framework. If it is decided under the present jurisprudential framework then some other issues remain unsolved i.e. who will be liable for any wrong outcome though unexpected or how the interest of different stakeholders will be satisfied from the products generated by AI etc. As AI bringing changes in the present world which have been unthinkable, therefore, the jurisprudential issues/questions regarding AI should be should not be searched and answered under the present jurisprudence. It requires a new paradigm, a newly formed jurisprudence. However, the writer does not ousted the present jurisprudence but arguing that the new jurisprudence can be formed in the light of the present jurisprudence as the present jurisprudence stands on the ground built by hundred years of experience of mankind.
